Meta Tags on page optimization - SEO tutorials

So first we have started SEO tutorials on On page optimization. In on page optimization tutorials we should  have to discuss the following important terms:

• Use of meta tags 

So today this is our last SEO tutorial on on page optimization in which discuss Meta tags, their importance and how to use these meta tags. So lets start

What are Meta tags

So question is what are meta tags.Meta tags are the tags used in HTML or XHTML documents to provide structured data about any webpage. Meta tags are used to sepicfy page's description, keywords and metadata which is providing through any other element.

Importance of Meta tags

For SEO the most important Meta tags are description meta tags and keywords. Meta tags are the only one which tell the search engines about your webpage. If we used the meta tags in right way then our SERP ranking should  increase in much bigger rate. If you not use meta tags for your blog then don't even think about getting good organic traffic from search engines.

How to write meta tags 

Meta description

Meta description is the most important meta tag for any webpage. you should have to optimize your template after creating blog or webpage with meta description tag. So to add meta description tag to your template first write a good description of your blog and then paste that description in the below code:

Note: replace the your blog description with your description.

<META NAME="Description" CONTENT="Your Blog description">

After adding your description in the above code add the following code in your head section.

Meta Keywords 

Meta keywords are also very popular and useful meta tags. You should also optimize your template with  meta keywords. So to add meta keywords to your template first write some keywords and then paste them in the below code:

Note: replace the your blog keywords with your keywords.

<META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="Your Blog keywords">

After adding your keywords in the above code add the code in your template's head section. and save your template.
