Google webmaster tool is very necessary and important for websites seo. And this tool is used by every webmaster who want to get top position in google. In this I will guide you how you can use google webmaster tools with complete tutorial and also with Video.

The Video basically in Urdu/Hindi language because many friends which lives in Pakistan and India feels difficulty in understanding the tutorial in English. That's why those who are not able to understand what actually I write in English they can easily understand by watch the video.

This tutorial is the second lecture of the series of seo tutorial for beginners. In this tutorial You will learn how to use google webmaster tools with video tutorial in urdu/hindi.

What is Google webmaster tools

Before we start we have to understand what actually the google webmaster tool is? This is the tool for webmasters which is recommended by Google. With this tool you can increase your site's indexing by google crawlers 4x times. YES! this tool is, you can say necessary to get ranking.

What you can do with this tool

When we come to its working then he do a lot of different works. With this tool the first thing you can do is you can submit your site's sitemap in google. Below I will also tell you how you can submit your sitemap in google webmaster tools.

With this tool you can check your ranking in google for specific queries and check that if your ranking increasing or decreasing. Tool also tracks the total clicks which leads to your site, and the total impressions(means how many times your site displayed in search result). Clicks and impressions are tracked and displayed on daily basis.

This tool will also tells you how many sites are linking to your site. He tells you that which page of your site have a link from other sites. Along with links this tool also tells you about anchor text of links.

How to Get Started

The first thing you have to do go to google webmaster tools page. For this follow this link:Google webmaster tools

I think you have a gmail account. Use your gmail email and password to login.

Now click on Add Site Button

Now add your site's URL in the box and hit enter button.

Now after adding your site in google's webmaster tools the next thing which you should do is adding sitemap to google webmaster tools. If you don't know how to make sitemap of your site then here's the guide.

For Google blogger users

To create your blogger sitemap first go to this link

Now at there paste your site's url and click on Generate Sitemap. Now copy the generated sitemap code and head over to blogger dashboard and go to Settings >> Search preferences >> Add sitemap.

At there click on radio button with Yes text. And paste the generated sitemap there.

Now it's time to add the sitemap to google webmaster tools. For this head over to webmaster tools.

Now click on sitemaps at left sidebar menu.

Now Click the red button with text add sitemap

Now, for blogger users. They paste the url which is similar to this one: (just start copying the url from atom.xml. And paste it. And then submit.

After sometime google start indexing all the content in your sitemap.

For Wordpress users

For wordpress users they can create and submit sitemap to google by using this plugin.: Sitemap generator for WP

FOR other users they can create there sitemaps using xml-Sitemaps. This is very useful to generate sitemap. After generating sitemap download it and upload it on your hosting server.

To submit in webmaster tools navigate to same place where we above submit for blogger users.

Other Sections

Search Traffic

Search Queries

In this section you will see that which search queries are performing for your site. In here you can also see that how much clicks are coming to you for every specific query. 

You also check the position of your site in search results for the different queries.

There are two tabs in this section one is Top queries and second is top pages. In top queries you can see that which are top queries which are displaying your site in search results,

And the second tab which is of Top pages. This displays the top pages of your site which are performing well in the search results.

You can also see the changes in clicks, impressions, and in positions by changing the Basics to With changes.

Links to Your Site

Here are the three portions which tells you how others are linking with your site and with your site's pages.

1. Who links the most: Here you see the domains which are linking to your site. And also the number of links to your site.
2. Your most linked content: Here you see that which of your content is linked more by others. Here you see that how much backlinks are your site content or posts have.
3. How your data is linked: Here you see the anchor text of the links which are linking to your site.

Internal Links

Here you see that how your site is internally linked. Means it tells about the interlinking of your site. The links of your site which are linking to other pages of your site. 

Manual Actions

This is the place where you get notified when your site get manual google penalty. To keep it not giving any message stay away from spamming and copying content of others. Always be original.

International Targeting

This section is for those who want to target the specific region of people. We can discuss about this topic briefly in upcoming seo tutorials, because this is lenthy topic :)

Mobile Usability

This section tell you about your site's mobile usability. That how your site performing on mobiles and on other small screens. If google face any problem with your site on mobile then he will notify you in this section.

Google Index

Index Status

 In this section you check that how your site is indexed by google. And how much pages of your site are indexed by google. In advance tab you see how much pages of your site are blocked by robots.txt, how much are removed and how much are indexed by google.

Content Keywords

Here you find what keywords are mostly used in your site's content. Go to this section and click on any keyword. When you click on any keyword you will see that on which pages of your site that keyword is used. You also see the varients of that keyword.

e.g here's mine which is blogger:

Remove URLs

Here you can remove any url(page) of your site which you don't want to indexed by google. Or if you delete any page from your site and want to delete the url of that page also from google index then use this option.

Crawl

Crawl Errors

Here you see errors if google face any problem in indexing your site pages. In this section there are two tabs:

1. Server Error: If google see any error in your server where your site hosted then you see error in this section. You see errors in this when your server down.
2. Not Found: Here you see the not found errors. If you delete any page from your site, then google give you error here. To fix it copy that url and head over to Remove URLs section and remove that url. After creating removal request back to this section and click on Mark as Fixed.

Crawl Stats

This report shows you pages crawled per day, kilobytes downloaded per day and time spent downloading a page. 

1. The more pages crawled the better (shows Google is interested and checking out content)
2. The more downloaded the better (unless there is an issue with Google wasting time on a area that should not be touched)
3. The more time spent downloading, the worse off you are. As you probably know page speed is an SEO factor. However, in some cases certain media just might take a long time to download.
